East Midlands Trains is the train operating company, based in Derby, that operates railway services in the East Midlands and surrounding areas.
East Midlands Trains deliver over 470 train services every day – and aim to get them all to their destination on time every time.
East Midlands Trains franchise is formed through the amalgamation of the previous Midland Mainline (MML) franchise, which operated inter-city services from London to Yorkshire and the Humber, with the eastern side of Central Trains. The franchise began operating in November 2007. The parent company of East Midlands Trains is Stagecoach Group which also owns 49% of Virgin Trains.
East Midlands Trains aim to operate a high-quality and efficient train service and to harness the development potential of the East Midlands region by Increasing train services, reducing journey times and improve connections on both regional and local routes.
East Midlands Trains route to London St Pancras International provides great connections for international travel via the Eurostar.
East Midlands Trains First Class Service
First class passengers travelling on East Midlands Trains enjoy extra room, reclining seats, power sockets and free wifi on-board.
